The keel of the seventh crab-live carrier for the Russian Crab Group was laid at the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant

On March 4, the keel of the seventh crab was laid at the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant in the 5712LS design series, which the plant is building by order of the largest Far Eastern crab fishing company "Russian Crab". The construction is carried out within the framework of the investment quota program.

The lead vessel of the series was laid down in June 2020 and launched in January 2022. To date, all seven vessels of the series are at various stages of construction.

The main technical characteristics of the project 5712 LS crab catcher: length - 57.70 m, width - 12.60 m, autonomy - 40 days, full speed - 12.6 knots, capacity for live crab - 110-120 tons.
