On the main stage of the celebration of the Day of the City of Petrozavodsk, the Head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov and the Mayor of Petrozavodsk Vladimir Lyubarsky held a ceremony of awarding citizens with state awards. Yuri Efremov, a pipeliner of the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant, was awarded the medal "For Services to the Republic of Karelia".

Yuri Nikolaevich Efremov tied his fate with shipbuilding in the eighties of the last century. Now he works in the joint-stock company "Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant" as a ship pipeliner of the 5th category. A reliable professional and an experienced mentor, he performs the most difficult work on the manufacture, pre-installation, installation and testing of pipelines of vessels: pilot boats of the 02780M ave., working boats of the ST23-WIM project, self-propelled grunt scows of the NV600 project, a dredging vessel of the TSHD 2000 project, a staging vessel of the 3265 project.

During the solemn ceremony dedicated to the Day of the Shipbuilder of Russia, the Minister of Economic Development and Industry of the Republic of Karelia Oleg Ermolaev conveyed the words of gratitude of the Head of the Republic of Karelia to the employees of the enterprise. Letters of thanks from the Head of the Republic of Karelia were presented to Vladimir Belyaev, a radio fitter, Valery Sizgunov, an electrician, Mikhail Kovalev, an electric welder, and Artem Pertunen, an assembler of metal ship hulls. Certificates of honor of the Government of the Republic of Karelia were awarded to Deputy Director Vadim Fatov, chief accountant Irina Troshkova, adviser Mikhail Maurin, assistant master Anatoly Sinelnik, captain-mentor Sergey Paskachev, software engineer Natalia Lutenko, turner Ignatiev Yuri, assemblers of metal hulls Igor Moshnikov, Ivan Melnikov, Vladimir Gogol.

Vadim Ivanovich Fatov's entire career is connected with work in the shipbuilding industry, he started as a master, then was the head of the construction and technological service, later appointed deputy director. In-depth knowledge of all sections of shipbuilding technology allows him to professionally and confidently lead the production preparation process. Being a highly qualified specialist with 30 years of experience, Vadim Ivanovich Fatov with attention and patience transfers his knowledge and experience to young specialists of the plant. For any questions that arise, young and experienced employees of the enterprise go to him for advice, knowing that they will find an answer from him.

Troshkova Irina Gennadievna graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Water Communications in 1994, majoring in "Economics and organization of water transport", since 2015 she has been working at JSC "OSSZ" as chief accountant. Irina Gennadievna manages the finances and reporting of the enterprise at a high professional level, with great dedication. Takes exhaustive measures aimed at timely and complete transfer of taxes and fees to the federal, regional and local budgets, insurance contributions to state extra-budgetary social funds, payments to credit organizations. Competently manages the work to ensure a firm financial discipline at the enterprise.

With their conscientious and qualified work, the awardees made a significant contribution to the successful and timely implementation by the enterprise of shipbuilding projects significant for the development and functioning of the republic's water transport, such as a pontoon bridge across the Logmozersky Strait, a furnishing vessel "Ladoga" for the federal budget institution "Administration of the Volga-Baltic Basin of Inland Waterways".;, repair of hulls and mechanisms of vessels on lifting wings «Comet» and "Meteor", which provide delivery of passengers on social and commercial lines, repair of tugs of the White Sea-Baltic Canal, Kondopoga Pulp and Paper Mill, Petrozavodsk Shipping Company, repair of ships of the Karelian Academy of Sciences. The commissioning of the pontoon bridge in Solomennoye provided a permanent transport link between Petrozavodsk and the Prionezhsky district of the Republic of Karelia. Cargo and passenger vessel «Ladoga» with ice reinforcement, it is actively used for life support of remote ports in the waters of Lake Ladoga, including the Valaam archipelago.
