The Presidential Envoy to the Northwestern Federal District and the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation visited the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant

On May 19 and May 20, 2022, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District, Alexander Gutsan, and the Head of the Republic of Karelia, Artur Parfenchikov, as well as the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Magomedsalam Magomedov, and the Head of the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Karelia, Tatyana Ignatieva, paid working visits to the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant.

The director of the enterprise Vladimir Maizus told the guests about the progress of the project of deep modernization of the shipyard. Implemented with the support of the Head of State and the Government of Karelia, the project involves increasing the production capacity of the plant, the introduction of digital support for the construction of ships, as well as robotization and automation of production processes.

This year, the zero cycle of the block of housing workshops is planned to be completed at the facility: work will be carried out on the foundation pit and foundations. By the autumn of 2023, the frame of the new block of hull workshops will be ready: the height of the hull-building workshop will be more than 33 meters. 14 overhead cranes will be installed in the new boathouse, including a lifting capacity of up to 60 tons, 2 cantilever and 3 gantry cranes.

By the end of 2024, a block of housing workshops with an area of more than 25 thousand square meters, a checkpoint, a retaining wall, a data processing center, a gasification station for technical gases, a compressor station and treatment facilities will be erected on the territory of the plant. An integrated digital production information system will be implemented to manage the enterprise.

The director of the enterprise told the guests about the crab "Captain Alexandrov", which was launched in January of this year. This is the first crab in a series of seven vessels under construction at the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant.
Now the vessel is being completed, after passing mooring and sea trials, it will be handed over to the customer in the autumn of this year. The capture and transportation of live crab "Captain Alexandrov" will be carried out in the Okhotsk and Bering Seas.
