The ceremony of launching the lead vessel from the series of crabbers took place

On January 27, 2022, at the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant in Petrozavodsk (Republic of Karelia), the crab-catcher, Captain Alexandrov, was launched, the lead vessel of the 5712LS project series, which the plant is building by order of the largest Far Eastern crab-fishing company, the Russian Crab, as part of the program "quotas under the keel", aimed at updating the domestic fishing fleet and increasing the efficiency of the development of valuable national bioresources.

The solemn ceremony of the descent was attended by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev, Head of the Republic of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov, Member of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation Vladimir Pospelov, Director General of FSUE Rosmorport Alexander Smirnov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian Crab Group Gleb Frank, representatives of federal ministries and departments, legislative and executive authorities of the Republic of Karelia, the Head of the Petrozavodsk City District, the heads of the Russian Crab Group and the Onega GCC.

The head crab boat launched was named after the long-distance sailing captain Georgy Ivanovich Alexandrov (1882 - 1939). G.I. Alexandrov came from a St. Petersburg naval family, a pupil of the Naval Cadet Corps, an officer of the Navy with the rank of captain of the first rank. Since 1903, he served in the Far East, commanded a destroyer, military transport vessels. In the spring of 1928, he was appointed captain of the Krabolov Kamchatka. The name of G. I. Alexandrov is associated with the formation and development of the Far Eastern fishing fleet.

The vessel of the Csa 5712LS project is designed for the extraction and transportation of live crab. Its technical equipment will double the volume of live products transported, increase its safety indicators, improve the seaworthiness necessary to work in difficult weather conditions of the Okhotsk and Bering Seas basins.

The general designer of the series is the company "Damen Engineering".
Traditionally, the "godmother" - Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Irina Okladnikova, broke a bottle of champagne on board the ship, blessing it for a long and happy voyage.
