Crabbers of the CCa5712LS project
The CCa5712LS project crab catcher is designed for the extraction and transportation of live crab. The technical equipment of the vessel will double the volume of live products transported, increase its safety indicators, improve the seaworthiness necessary to work in difficult weather conditions in the basins of the Okhotsk and Bering Seas.

Innovative solutions for the Russian crab industry have been incorporated into the vessels under construction. This is, for example, a telemetry system for monitoring the parameters of the vessel from the bridge and from the shore, as well as a two-level hold for transporting live crab in stainless steel tanks with a water ratio of 4/1 with solutions to ensure the maximum level of safety of a live crab.
It is equipped with a number of modern systems:
- a system for monitoring and maintaining the temperature of water, air in tanks and air in holds;
- a system for monitoring and maintaining the oxygen content in water;
- ammonia detection system in water;
- a system for updating the water in tanks, including a complete replacement of the water in the vessel's crab tank when it is contaminated;
- protection of crab loading and unloading zones from low/high temperatures to preserve high quality products.
Among the key advantages of the new fleet compared to the current one is the presence of an ice-class hull and Ice2 mechanisms, twice the area of the fishing deck and storage areas for orders, holds, and a storeroom of profit. Also, the number of traps has been doubled (from 1500 to 3000) on board the ship.
Modern engines with low fuel consumption and low toxicity of exhaust gases will be installed on the crabbers: Exhaust gas toxicity: according to NOx, a new TIER II fleet with the possibility of installing systems for TIER III (existing TIER I vessels). The vessel's equipment is accompanied by a backup electric propulsion system, which guarantees the preservation of the vessel's course at sea in the event of a breakdown of the main engine.
Comfortable and ergonomic residential block, 1.5-2 times more spacious than on ships of the current fleet. Noise and vibration minimization is provided in the premises.
